Meanest mom!!
"Thanks for doing what mothers are supposed to do." This was what callers had said to Jane Hambleton, the mother who sells her son’s car because of finding alcohol after snooping. Jane Hambelton’s actions may have advantages like, making a point, proving that she cares, giving her son a good lesson, and encouraging other parents to do so. However, the actions have many disadvantages like, putting embarrassing information in a local paper, and being unfair toward her son. First of all, a good thing is that she made a point and sometimes it costs a lot to get an idea across. Also, this situation shows that she cares about her young boy. Additionally, a mom knows what is best for her children so that she will guide them to the right path. Perhaps they will thank her one day when they grow up and become adults. Next, she gave a good lesson for her son, demonstrating that she is serious and she takes his promises seriously. Unfortunately, he broke the promise so he deserves the punishment. In addition, the son may understand the lesson and he would think twice before doing this again if he ever gets a car. Furthermore, kindness and forgiveness are not the best strategies to take with your kids at all. Another thing is that it is motivating other parents to take this step with their children and we need to hear same things from other parents because drinking while driving is a serious problem.
